Workshops It is sadly true at this time in history, that 1 in 8 women (particularly in North America) are likely to experience breast cancer in their lifetime. While our ultimate goal is to see the end of this disease, we are committed to helping women who have had a lumpectomy or mastectomy, with or without reconstruction, to be fitted in bras (and prosthesis if needed) that provide ultimate comfort and support while facilitating her natural appearance. In truth it is time for ALL women, whatever their circumstances, to have access to the respect and care they deserve regarding their bras, their bodies, their breast(s). Our encounters with women reveal that 9 out of 10 hate their bra due to its discomfort, awkwardness, lack of support; many therefore think that their body is the problem when in fact it is most likely is due to the poor quality or poor fit of the majority of bras in the marketplace today. It is time that the media, the medical profession and the undergarment industry promote the health and well-being of women, including our breasts. This is an ideal opportunity to help women, including female breast cancer survivors, understand the importance of their physical, mental, emotional well-being regarding healthy, comfortable, supportive bras (and prostheses when needed.). Length of Presentation: Minimum of 30 minutes, up to an all-day workshop, or 2-day retreat experience. Fee: Minimum of $100.00 plus travel expenses; fees are negotiable according to your needs and budget. Want to be a member of our 'Circle of Support?' Share your passion and concern with others about breast health, properly fitted bras/prostheses for women, including women facing breast cancer. Willing to staff or sponsor an information booth at your company's/organization's next information/health fair? Help us spread the 'good news' about the comfort and support of Bras for Body & Soul®; i.e. "bras that work." We will provide the materials if you help provide the space.
